Purushottam Agrawal is an Indian writer and academic. Since July 2, 2007, he has been a member of the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi He was formerly Chairperson, Center of Indian Languages, School of Language, Literature and Culture; Chief Advisor, Hindi textbooks NCERT, He was British Academy Visiting Professor at Faculty of Oriental Studies, Cambridge University and a Fellow of Wolfson College, Cambridge University, United Kingdom, El Colegio de Mexico (National College of Mexico, Mexico City).
