He was the former head of Maths department, Director of Cultural Activities Mayo College, Ajmer. He has translated poetry, fiction, plays and essays from Rajasthani into English for the publications of Sahitya Akademi, New Dehli. These include Akademi Award winning anthologies by Dr C P Dewal and K L Sethiaji. He won ‘Katha Translation Award’ in the year 1998 and Translation prize in All India Competition by ‘Indian Literature’ in 2008.
