My encounter with this two supercool aunties made my holi super special. Their living spirit is something, which I can hardly articulate. They are friends since half a century, one stays in Ranchi and one in Mathura with their respective families. They were visiting to a place called "Maksi", where they have spent their splendid childhood. They were catching up after long 3 years as being super busy in their respective family issues and responsibilities. It took around 1 year to plan the trip for them as they wanted this to be their own not with any family members. They have cooked food for each other. I was overhearing their conversation and could not stopped myself asking in details of their trip. To my surprise, the more I spoke to them the more I felt like two teenager best buddies going for a well planned trip with all types of food specially besan ke poori, mithai, achar and so on. I asked why they have chose this place to which aunty replied, " Humara bachpan wahan guzra hai,toh bas.. "
There were so many adorable moments with them among which one of them was, one of the aunty said, I refused my daughter in law to cook for you and I myself did it as I know you like besan ke poori with less sugar and more salt, to which the later one replied with more sugar and less salt.. And both of them started laughing like no one is watching. Through out the journey they were talking non stop about their different trips, food, places people and a lot of gossip just like we all do with our best buddies..
P. S: - Was cursing Indian Railways for its delay as a result of which I have to spent most part of the holi in train, but with such encounter now I am really happy about it. And going to cherish this memory.
Who says girls can't be friends after marriage, they are the true spirit. I so wish the same for me. Going on trips with my besties at that age of life too.
